About Unholy Retribution
Why a Christian de Medich shrine?
When I was first exposed to WoG art, Christian's picture just... appealed to me. In short, I wanted his shoes. But, as we we got to know more and more about the story, and his character, I became intrigued. The tale of how he did his job, but lost a brother because of it; of how he fell in love with Joan, only to have her taken from him because she was being a good comrade to Saladin; of his descent into despair and vengeance which led him to Ashurei; of Ashurei's slightly atypical feelings for Christian; and finally his death... It was just so powerful, so moving. Oh, and Rinoa forced me to.
Acknowledgements
I didn't do all this by myself, you know.
- Thanks to Bluemoon for being the awesome girl she is - and for sharing her MAD SKILLZ in Korean; she was kind enough to translate info for me, so that I would actually know something about Christian, instead of knowing nothing and just ogling his body.
- Thanks to Rinoa and Jessalyn and others for exposing me to WoG stuff. Without them, I wouldn't have ridden the wave of the uber-trend.
- Thanks to SoftMax for making such an interesting game!
- Thanks to Hyung-Tae Kim for making such FANTASTIC character designs.
- Thanks to Fexy for finding the programs so that a lot of the captures on this site were possible.
- Thanks to Olvimama, from who's site I got some of the screenshots (they are credited on the image).
- Thanks to Beramode, Sherazard, Yuganea, Jessalyn, and Yan for researching like mad, and then letting me leech info.
- Wikipedian Makora, who linked this site from the article about WoGIII.
- Thanks to the members of #genesis -- it was good while it lasted.
